Mentioned them already but just today unpacked a part that got back from them ten days or so ago. Had sent off an inner primary for the 2000 SERG. Those 94-00 inners are notorious for pitting in the casting and not looking great after being chromed. But not a new option available. So rechroming an old one is the only option.
Spoke with them before sending this $20 (shipping inclusive!) eBay core off. As expected it was an issue they were very familiar with and readily admitted it was a "tough part to make look good." They talked about extra dips of whatever happens before the chrome and other voodoo that they do do.
It was not a part they worked on cheaply. But they apparently spent a lot of time with it because when it got back here it was beautiful. Their work had stacked up so much material that I ruined two tranny mainshaft seals putting things back together. But that was the only surface I had to work down to get back in functinoal trim.
The look of the exterior was worth the effort though. It was an ugly pitted core that's now smooth as glass. Two other platers I spoke with before sending it to them would not guarantee a satisfactory result on the same old inner primary.
