Guys,
trying to rationalise differences between 2010/2011 CVO SG's, other than legshields, colours and enhanced audio am I missing much?
Cheers fellas

Well let's see;
1. 2010's were the last true Custom Vehicle Operation hand assembled bikes. The separate CVO Department was closed down. Now they have been incorporated into the normal production line. So they are CVO's in name only and due to all of the extras the pricing remains at a premium.
The thinking by The motor Company as I understand it is that the overall Quality Control and processes on the line are able to produce high quality results for all bikes. So the "saves" are in separate labor cost and processes.
The CVO Pricing wiil continue to go up though.
2. In 2010 and earlier the hand assembly included custom painting and graphics. Consider the striping on the 2011's which is high quality semi production work with the 2010 custom hand applied real gold leaf graphics and flames.
The motors and accessories are essentially the same with of course execptions for the 2011 Street Glide lowers.
The "new tank" and console on the 2011's is a parts saving move. Now the tanks and gas caps fit more of the entire touring and other FL lines.
There are other things but going forward, I think the question we will be asking ourselves when we are evaluating the new models is; What features and functions are on the base model for what price and what are the "add ons" on the CVO model we are interested in buying and is there value for me in the incremental price.
If the answer is yes then buy it and enjoy it, it's your decision.
