No, It is the wireless deal I spoke of. When you first start your Inno on the screen you will see a v1.xx on the bottom. Unless you got it early this year it is likely v1.10 only the very early ones were v1.05 and they sold out quick. The FCC said the power was too high and you transmit to other cars near you on the road - which stinks because I loved the wireless on the myfi, could tune in in the house from the unit in the garage. So anyhow, if you upgrade you lose that but only if you have v1.05 - the fixes in the upgrade are many.....
Here are the release notes:
If you are upgrading from Pioneer Inno with software version 1.05, the following changes are included in this XM software upgrade version v1.30:
(1) Due to regulatory issues, as a result of this upgrade,
the FM modulator feature will not be available when the
unit is used in the portable mode or when the unit is
used in the home dock. The FM modulator will now
operate only if the unit is placed in the optional car
dock. If this upgrade is not acceptable to you by
reason of the loss of the FM modulator outside of the
car dock, you may return your unit for a full refund
by contacting XM at 1-866-259-9771. (This offer is
available only to consumers who purchased a Pioneer
Inno XM Satellite Radio with software version 1.05.)
(2) The factory default frequency for the FM modulator was
changed to 97.9.
(3) An issue in which scheduled recordings would sometimes
not initiate unless the radio was powered up first in
the home dock has been addressed.
(4) Users will now be able to play MP3 and WMA files
without XM subscriber activation.
(5) The upgrade provides support for certain MP3 id3v2.3
extended headers that had previously resulted in
continuous 'scanning files' message.
(6) An issue in which the radio sometimes froze when a USB
cable was connected in the midst of powering down has
been addressed.
(7) An issue was corrected in which quickly selecting 2
un-used XM channel numbers in a row with the remote
control would cause the radio to change back and forth
between these 2 channels until a subsequent valid
channel selection was made.
(

An issue in which artist names longer than 16 characters
resulted in incorrect tune-select pop-up text has been
addressed.
(9) An issue in which the radio would sometimes freeze on
the start-up screen after playing music from a playlist
followed by a hard restart has been addressed.
(10) The time required for the radio to power up automatically
when the USB cable is connected has been reduced.
(11) A screen advisory has been added during firmware
updates, telling the user to keep radio connected to
external power source until the firmware update is
complete.
(12) A screen advisory has been added during a change in the
memory partition, telling the user to keep the radio
connected to external power source until memory
repartition is complete.
(13) If unit is in USB mode and activated over the air,
“scanning files” will not occur. (Scanning files will
occur when USB is disconnected.)
(14) The scanning files dialog box was made larger to cover
the animation graphic.
(15) The “/” character is now always displayed correctly when the
display is running in the large, scrolling format.
(16) Battery life when the radio is off is extended considerably
when starting from a fully charged battery.
(17) Corrected a problem in which the digital clock on the radio
occasionally displayed the incorrect time.
Please select 'CONTINUE' to accept these changes and continue the upgrade, or 'CANCEL' to cancel. By selecting “CONTINUE”, you are agreeing to accept all the changes listed above. If you have any questions regarding this upgrade please contact XM at 1-866-259-9771.
....so there you go, the current standby or off battery life STINKS - like one day - so the fix is worth it.
