Kerker pat baffles
« on: July 09, 2011, 09:48:19 AM »

I love the way the stock exhaust looks on the bike just think it's way too quiet. On my road king I installed the vh power duals with the vh slash cut slip-ons, I think it's a little loud on 2+ hour trips.
I told him I definitely am doing the power duals on my krypto but want to retain the stock slip-ons, he said to do the kerker mikuni pat baffles that they will fit the stock cans and be a little quieter than the set up on my road king.
After reading whatever little info I have found on these baffles looks like they might be really loud, anybody have any experience with this or similar set up?
We are doing a SERT also.
Thanks

Better choice would be Fullsac.  They have replacement baffles in several sizes, one of which will most likely fit your sound requirements.  They also have an excellent head pipe replacement and tuning solutions.  Outstanding customer service, and they are a member on this site.

Mikuni Pass a truck (pat) baffles were designed by Joe Minton and were available in Kerker Mufflers in the late 90's as an option, I had a set on my 98 EGC, they were IMHO extremely loud in the EVO engines, I bet they would be ear splitting in the larger displacement engines.
