To change lifters only...if you are going to cut out the stock pushrods and replace them with adjustable pushrods...three hours tops. If you are mechanically capable, it's a simple job. Understanding how to set the pushrod length (lifter preload) is about the most complicated part for a novice. Lifter cost varies based on the brand of lifter used. S&S, Woods, Feuling and stock Harley ''B'' lifters are all good choice. The cost ranges from about $120.00 for stock lifters to over $250.00 for the Woods lifters...
More oil pressure isn't likely going to help anything. In addition to lifters, lots of things can cause a noisy motor. Interference between the pushrod and pushrod tube, interference between a rocker arm and rocker box, worn rocker arm bushings, worn rocker arm shaft, worn or loose valve guides, an exhaust leak, loose heat shields, worn cam bearings, poor geometry (expecially if you have installed high lift cams), piston slap and on and on.
