From Anne July 30th:

Highlight of the day was catching the action of the tractors tearing into the PACIFIC towing a fishing boat, loaded with crew for a day of fishing for HALIBUT. This took place at ANCHOR BAY (POINT) under the watchful eye of two 10,000 ft. volcano's! I asked a local down in HOMER (which was knock your socks off beautiful) where we should go to see BALD EAGLES. Russell told us either here or the town dump. (kinda demystified my sense of eagles) but being scavengers I guess so. I still haven't seen a whole bunch of EAGLES.... We stayed in a way cute, COZY (being the operative word here) room last night-measuring about 7 feet X 9 feet. Felt like smaller than our tent. (Chris thinks I need my head examined.
