I'm really sorry to hear about your troubles at the Border.  Bummer especially after you had planned this trip for so long.  I guess you can always do it another time.  It still sucks though.  I hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday and make the most of it.  See you in Spokane next summer.

Thanks for all the kind words, even Dave with his great pics . I Couldn't fault any of the boarder guards for doing their job, I even praised them for it. We are still out riding, finding some great roads and having fun, that's all that really counts.  Roger and Melanie

What a bummer. Terry and I had a hard time last summer getting into Canada after being waved through by the US border guards. They detained us for about an hour and searched the bike and trailer, but were very professional about it. Ride on and enjoy the rest of your trip.  Lou and Terry

It was with a heavy, heavy heart that Anne and I had to leave our bestest buddies behind, but with all the time, money and energy invested in the trip, we had no choice but to move on. Roger and Melanie truely are our tight friends as they wished us the best on our trip.

This all started as Rogers dream to ride the "haul road" from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay. That part of the adventure we will leave for a later trip.

Right now we are sitting in the rain in Prince George B.C. on our way to Anchorage. For the most part internet access will be sketchy at best from here to Anchorage. Anne will email photos when she can. If those of you who receive the photos please post some if you like, otherwise I will do it when we get home.

Roger and Melanie we love you guys, it just ain't the same without you!!!

Here is an update from Chris & Ann not sure if Dave is posting any Pic's ??

GOOD MORN'N SUNSHINE ! NOT!!! Damp to wet to rain is what we woke to and kept all-through the day (as long as you have sunshine in your soul-you'll be ok)-and that's what we got! We are sunny travelers! I also awoke to the fact that i'm to damn short to even see myself in the motel mirror to put make-up on-or brush my teeth-but hey-Iknow where everything is..... Began with meeting our neighbors in the motel-they are looking for GOLD in them there hills-geologists making neat little packages of dirt to send of to the laboratories. Next came the old crusty miners in the Cowboy Bar. some cowboys etc.. yes we are taking to Canada and Canada to us. Finding it a bit expensive but we need not much. Followed along a windy, sleepy river, a fly fisherman or two, often choked with lilies and cat-tails. Clouds reflected in the many lakes-countryside mainly rolling hills. 450 miles today put us at the DOWNTOWN MOTEL tonight in PRINCE GEORGE. The rain is keeping us from camping. We figure on making ANCHORAGE on about JULY 27. Sleep tight my friends, love Annie

Headed EAST-maybe MOUNT RUSHMORE, could be the GREAT LAKES. Roger & Chris decide we really need a map because are current ones are only of CANADA & ALASKA. Chris leads today while all of us try to get our heads wrapped around our sudden detour. (ALL four of us could not get over the CANADIAN BORDER together) SO... we wonder through snow-capped mountains, rivers often lapping the sides of the road. The CASCADES are luxuriously lush with huge foliage and fresh berries abound-rassberries, blueberries logan and strawberries! Amazing not to mention all the wild flowers. The glacial waters are silky green (the lake you see pictured is LAKE  DIABLO) It is not about where you get too-it's ALL about the journey!
