Automatic Bike wash

Buddie of mine just bought a car wash in Cape Coral Florida and is installing two of these, what do you think?

Looks like a good way to get the big stuff off when your on the road. I'd give one a try if there was one close to home or somewhere on the road.

Well that's certainly different!

Funny thing is though... Although there were a few different bikes shown in the bike wash, but not one Harley with a fairing!

I would be concerned getting too much forceful water sprayed around the wheel bearings etc.

I'm pretty sure I saw at least one Harley front fender amongst all those closeup shots of wheels.

While this might actually work, I have to believe it will never be able to compete with a hand wash.  For one thing, I've never seen a touchless car wash ever get a car as clean as a brush version or a hand wash.  And considering how much of a pain it is to thoroughly dry a motorcycle with all the nooks and crannies, just hopping on and riding away is going to leave a lot of water blowing out all over you and the bike.  But for a quick cleaning, it does look promising.

I've never seen one of these, so I've been trying to get the wife to ride the bike through a regular car wash.  Obviously I need to work on my powers of persuasion, since so far she just gives me the "look" whenever I mention it and then rolls her eyes and shakes her head.

Wouldn't use it at home but would give it a shot in the middle of long dirty road trips.

RG owners be sure and remove all important items from your glove boxes.  Mine get water in them with a gentle wash on my driveway.
