Wow,

I am going to want to know how that happened???  HD Australia again....  The first four were supposed to be shipped in May on the 28th, then I find my official notice of shipping does not come until June 28???   And how does that work when also the CVOs are supposedly Custom Order only and do not get put on the floor in stock?  And now you say the missing BIG BLUE is in Adelaide 3000 kms away??? >:(

This stinks of something...  But thank you for the notice, I will Google the phone number and find out what is going on.  I would HATE the feeling that is MY BIKE and was diverted for some political pull somewhere?  @$&!!!!

OK Johna,

I have just called them, and they are not open yet due to time change, East Coast to Adelaide..  Thanks for that, but how did you find out?  They are 1500 kms or so from you..???

Boy, it really gets up my nose to think......  Mine was supposed to be the first into Oz....  "Missing" for a month, and now it show up, better not be what it feels like on my end.  The timing of 6 weeks is right on the BUTTON to be here right now supposedly shipped May 28...  This better not be what it feels like or there is gonna some fur flying.   It was supposed to be my Birthday present, I would even fly down there and GET IT..  A bit past the first service, maybe get it service in the ACT where you are... heh he...

A mate in Adelaide wrote to me

" Also Peter Stevens have a CVO 110 Cube  , Ultra like yours on the showroom floor , very nice tourer indeed ."

I asked is it Blue and got the answer

"yes the Ultra is blue , how did you know that lol     its very nice , but my two bikes as a trade in  wouldnt even pay for half of the  Ultra 110 Cube  , got them valued as a trade in "

Alright Johna,

I owe you one...  Good Joke, thanks for pulling my chain... heh he.  I be sure to look you up in the ACT and return the prank, heh he... That or your reporter does not know what the CVO Ultra is and is talking about some other type of CVO....

Stevens HD in Adelaide claims not only do they not have one, but it is not even due until the end of the month at best...

Could be in the same shipment.  I am going to go take some medicine and have a lay down now...    :soapbox:

Not a problem Johna,
It's all cool Mate...

Look it was entertaining for the morning, and did open a can of worms for me though....   I am pursuing the fact that they are getting two Big Blue CVOs before me, when mine was supposed to be shipped a month earlier.  I am sicking the local HD Shop Owner onto HD Australia, to get some real answers...  I would hate to think the political pull is getting them the earlier shipment, and I am put off....    Grrrrrr....

I am 59 y.o. and this was supposed to soften the blow of my Birthday the end of the month... :-\

Thanks for the fun anyway...  It is all no worries.  I am just pi$$ed off at HD Australia, as my Shipment was postponed for a month from May 26 about, to June 28, and here Stevens HD in Adelaide is getting two on the floor like they were given mine.  I am so pi$$ed off I want to fly down and bring it back just so I get it for my Birthday.. But that is stupid, 3000 kms on a new bike not run in yet, alone, on some of the $hitiest hiways in the world (Hume)...  Does not make sense.

Thanks for the entertainment Johna, stop in and look me up in Qld any time..  I will just have to be a big boy and wait the extra month.  It is just that I miss out on a couple of big Runs here in Oz, maybe I will take my O&B CVO FLHXSE2 out of mothballs and run it instead or worrying about selling it with low kms..  On a fun  :jack: Hijack:  I was toying with the idea of keeping both, but then I realized once I got back to an Ultra with the fatter tyres and smaller wheels, the top box I miss, the heated fatter seat and heated grips, and auto locking boxes and front forks....  I would not be riding my O&B Street Glide anymore when Big Blue got here :-* ;)..

Hello again Johna,
Not only no worries, but you may have even done me some good with this... Tell your Mate in Adelaide it may just be all peachy.  Short story, turns out there WAS a dilemma in Shipping, and not 4 were sent it turns out to be increased to 6,  and 3 each were sent in two containers a month apart.  My fourth one not spoken for until me, missed the first Shipment.  I am assured there is no hanky panky or political priorities involved, just my bad luck, but wait-Maybe not.

The local Dealer is trying to organize a "Dealer Swap" for one of the two earlier ones, since that Dealer in Adelaide is getting two at once, and on last look they have docked awaiting Customs Clearing..  There is a chance, they can still swing if for my Birthday.  :huepfenjump3: That would be just too cool.  If it clears it is only a week - 10 days to get it to the Dealers.

The Moral of the story, "Never Fear to Post, you don't know whom you could actually help if even by accident..."  heh he...  :jalapeno:
I will probably get stuck in the mud, but it doesn't hurt to be hopeful.... heh he..  I hate this Order and waiting game...   Cowboy in Qld...

JOHNA YOU BEAUTEEE YOU !, (you Americans that means) WHAT A COOL DUDE!!!   :2vrolijk_21:

I threatened that if they are going to do this Hanky Panky, why don't I just fly down and pick it up there...  For you Americans, that is a HUGE, as there is a "Tyranny of Distance" here.  3000 kms would be like a journey to Alaska or worse, as our best hiways are about as good as your worst patched up state roads...  There really is a "Tyranny of Distance"...

Any way, my HD Dealer, worked a deal, to fix the unlucky mess up and get a "Dealer Swap" from Harley Davidson Australia....  THANK YOU HDA!!  One of  the first two in the Order, that was supposed to go to Adelaide, is now going to be shipped up here to me in Qld.  And Adelaide will get one from the next shipment..

Johna, the ball you pushed rolling, got me my Scooter in time for my Birthday... NEXT WEEK IT WILL BE HERE..  Your digging around, cause a great chain of events, THANK YOU JOHNA..!BIG BLUE WILL BE GETTING GOODIES PUT ON IT NEXT WEEK..
HD tinted Wind Buffet windscreen, locking glove boxes(ordered keyed alike to VIN), Kicking the cat out stock collector headers, Monster Ovals, short high tension antennas, LED Headlights and Passing Lights, LED bar trim under windscreen, HD leather tool bags and drink holder on protection bars in front of boxes, single lever shift adaptor, and maybe more....  The biggie will be a 120R Drag Motor and clutch upgrades after I break in the 110 to make sure it is cool and can be stored or sold...

Then let the Blokes in the Clubs niggle me about driving a "Granny Glide" as the 120 R lifts the front wheel..heh he

Thats a good outcome :2vrolijk_06:
So my mate shouldn't find a bike there on Saturday then :o

He Hee Just as well my 09 has only 40k on it and its as i want it ::)
I like the trip over to Adelaide ;) ;) ;D

Am actually going past Adelaide to the WA border for a beer or 2 in a couple of weeks,. 4800k over 3 to 4 days. Its the 35th Anniversary of the Border Run
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=255011

Have just had the LED's fitted to the passing lamps to upgrade the low beam vision for the night sections and am hoping there what i need??

And as far as niggle goes, (my answer to them is) not only HD but all brands included, what bikes are capable over here of running 2500k+ in under 24hrs.
not to many i think
CVO ultras are, even with the standard seats ect so tell em there :beatdeadhorse:

Cowboy,
The 2012's are out! Big Blue is the better color than any of the 2012's! They added 8g Ipod this year. I'm PI$$ed it wasn't on our 2011's. Oh well! Check out the HD website for all the 2012's. I don't believe you will want to wait another 6 months for the 2012"s model to come to the land of OZ.

Danner,
You and me Buddy, your exact words... I was thinking of that just now looking at the HD Website..  I don't want to rain on anybody's parade, but I did not see anything I liked better...  We must be Couzins!!!     8)

  BIG BLUE IS LOOKING GOOD....

I still think BIG BLUE is the top paintjob, and 8 gig Ipod, well I can rig that interface even if I have to plug it in...  Whew, that over, I was running on Faith and there certainly is nuttin I would want to wait for.   Looks like I will have BIG BLUE, next week with a load of goodies already Ordered...

Might be a long time before a paint job and look grabs me like BIG BLUE.... heh he   :2vrolijk_21:   Good on ya Mate!!
