Went for a little cruise last week, said to self, " Man, this engine seems to be running really hot today", till I realized that I had the heated seat turn on HI!  :sauer005:

Noticed the seat was warmer than I was used to on the first ride.  Turns out the heated seat was on low - setting the switch properly helped a lot...

Buy a sheepskin type cover. I use an Alaska Butt Pad, of course it takes forever to dry out if you leave it on when it rains.

Harley's Circulator Seat Pads work pretty good. IMHO much better than sheep skin covers. About $90 but worth it if you live in hot and humid area.

Wickers works for me, I know it's good for at least 420 mile summer ride maybe more.

The problem is the vinyl  seating surface.  That is the reason I gave up on my SERG seat and went with a Corbin.  The leather seat makes a big difference.  No sweating and it is not slippery.

X2.    :2vrolijk_21:

...The seat gets really warm and makes your backside sweat....I rode about 45 minutes yesterday and my wife started laughing at my shorts being sweaty lol
:worthless:

Sorry…you left yourself wide open….and apparently a little wet.  :D

I’ve managed to get in 16k miles this season (personal best) running the smaller circulator passenger pad instead of the larger one, on top of a 2010 OE SESG seat. Late this year I hammered out a 2,600+ mile run to NC and back over a long weekend with my trusty circulator pad; not to be confused with a max iPad, which I have yet to try.

I wanted to get a sense for the challenge of completing a Bun-Burner gold; 1,500 in 24.  I managed the 1,300 miles home from NC in 18.75 hours; on pace for 1,500 in 22. I thought that it would be grueling, it wasn’t bad. I did learn that it is necessary to pack a variety of interesting things to eat on the road. All I had were protein bars, which I was thoroughly sick of by late afternoon; thank God for the Ham & Cheese sandwiches available at most gas stops. :2vrolijk_21:

I have sheepskins and when they get rained on I just snap them a few times like a wet towel To get the bulk of water off and they dry quickly! They cannot be beat for the hot summer days and when your bike sits in the sun you don't get on and fry your arse!

Dittos on the sheepskins.  I had the Alaska Sheepskins on my wing for four years and loved them.  Cooler on hot days and warmer in the winter. They shed water well and after wiped with a towel on a rainy day can be sat on immediately.  http://www.alaskaleatheronline.com/servlet/the-19/Full-Pelt-Deluxe--dsh-/Detail

Never needed "Monkey Butt" or any other kind of assistance.

X2. You are absolutely right!  It is the vinyl seat.  When I switched to leather, it was a HUGH difference.   :2vrolijk_21:
