Fullsac Stage 1.....WOW!
« on: July 21, 2011, 04:25:10 PM »

On Saturday morning I completed the install of the  Fullsac Stage 1 with 2.0 cores and have put over 200 km since then and all I can say is WOW! What a difference. I held out only because i really liked the stock look. Did not want to mess with the warranty , noise laws and wanted to be able to hear the radio. With over 15000 km i installed this exhaust on my ride 14000km too late...ish. It took me about 8 hours to install. Took my time and did it right. I also even painted the inside of the cans before the tips that had some surface rust. It looks much cleaner now with the 2.0 core tips sticking out. As for the radio i can hear it over the exhaust once the volume is raise more than half way. Which is where i usually have it when the amp is not cutting out...ish again. I could probably do this install now in about 3 hours now that i have done it once. The only thing that i would suggest is when it says after grinding out the welds on the baffles to tap them out......it should say give them a good whack  :2vrolijk_21:. Thats what held me up on the first one. The second one did not take as long when big Bertha came out to play. ;D. Very easy. Just in case i have held on to all the stock parts in case i need to swap it back but i do not see this ever happening because i am in love.........the power gain is awesome.....before the upgrade i was shifting from 5th to 6th at about 140 km now i am shifting at about 160 km. The bike is also shifting much better......no more hot leg. no more bogging at about 5000 rpm and the sound is perfect......sounds like a Harley especially when you open here up but it is not that obnoxious loud but crisp and clean. Wife loves it and no complaints of heat. I can go on but i am going for a ride. :huepfenjump3:

For anyone just thinking about doing this upgrade......just do it thats all i can say.

Thank you Steve, Alice and Fullsac for helping me out and answering all my emails and questions.

Hi Mano,
I would like to find out more about what you put on your bike.  Maybe I can hook up with you sometime.  I am the guy who contacted you earlier with the same bike.  I am just west of Milton in Campbellville area.  I have my bike booked into Jacox in Aug for the SERT, headers and Rineharts and would like your opinion on that before I proceed.  Thanks. Mano, interested in where you got the fullsac system?  Sounds like you installed, but if I wanted to do the Stage II, who would you recommend?

Are you comfortable doing your own work? Just how much can or do you want to do?
Do you have a shop you work with?
Go here: http://www.fullsac.com/
for some more information.
Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks HogMike, I am comfortable doing lots of repairs, just not sure of the cam swap.  I have a bike lift and full tool selection, air whatever.  I've rebuilt small engine stuff etc.  Not sure where to buy the fullsac stuff here in Toronto.  Probably lots of places around but want a reputable one that someone has dealt with before.

Mano, you only did the cores in the exhaust? You still have the stick header w/ cat, what about race tuner or master tune.?

Hey Mike.....I don't mind meeting at a Timmie's some place double double for me. :drink:. I have yet to see another black bike like mine.

I went with the Fullsac only because with the noise laws and the environment cops i can always swap it over myself. With the other systems you might have to take it back to the stealer costing you large in the long run. What ever you do hold on to everything that comes off your bike.

Stage 2 means you have to do the cams, I did not want to open the motor. There is plenty of power with the stage 1. Knock on wood if anything goes wrong you swap it back to the original then go back to the stealer. :P

You can get it delivered to your place from Arizona. Check it out.

I did not take any pics when i was doing the install. It all looks stock which is what i wanted. Theonly difference is that the 2.0 baffles coming out of the tips and no more ugly blue/gold header reflection to look at under the heat shield from the chrome on the motor.
