Going to try and buy a 2012 CVO Ultra today. Is the Fullsac stage one the way to go or is there a better way.

Fullsac offers the best way to decrease heat, increase power and spend the least amount of money, and it's all in one package.

You can spend lots more money and not get much better!

MP

That I don't know.
Many others here can respond with their thoughts.
I had mine dynoed by Jim hd-dude. (Bob)
Mine produces good power, runs great and I'm getting high 40's in mileage.
With the above said, there's no need for me to mess with it.

Several folks have posted about Fullsac and are running their X-Pipe, baffles and map they provided with the TTS system and are happy.

I was able to upgrade the ignition. I'm computer compatent but no IT guy. The only dificulity I had was finding the proper com-port. The set up, including the download, upgrade etc took me about two hours. That's with coffee.

Fullsac is great.  So is Jamie from Fuel Moto.  Both offer excellent fuel management, ie Mastertune TTS from Fullsac or Dynojet PowerVision from Fuel Moto.  Both have great X-pipes, Ceramic versus stainless steel.  Fullsac offers the replacement baffles so you can keep your HD cans and Fuel Moto offers several replacement products (thus more expensive but you get to pick your exhaust).  I personally like the Fullsac 1.75" baffles (the 2.0" are nice also, haven't heard the 2.255" version).  Lots of owners go with V&H, Rineharts etc.  Your pick.  Both companies provide a "preconfigured" map that matches the configuration ordered.  I have had three of these and dyno'd the first one and the tuner said there was no need to customize the tune.  The last two, I haven't even bothered.  The bike runs great, less heat, better gas mileage and more power.  Have about 25,000 miles with Fuel Moto and about 15,000 with Fullsac.

Used both, the difference is negligible.

Yes...just get the proper cables for your laptop, update all the software from TTS when you install it, then be sure and install all the drivers for the USB ports.  Other than that, it's pretty straightforward to upload your stock ECM file, then download the file Fullsac provides for your setup.  On my bike, the map provided works great.  I'm sure I could fine tune it to get the absolute maximum for my particular engine, but it's running very good and getting 40+ mpg two up, so I'm fine with that.  It's definitely the most bang for the buck, IMO, and if you have basic tools (drill or dremel, socket set, open end wrenches, and screwdrivers) and a laptop, you can do it all yourself in the garage and save even more.

The dealer is doing mine and is not chaing  a lot for labor and there is a little labor involved.  If you are buying a new one and your not the kind of guy that loves doing that sort of thing, the dealer is a good way to go.

Did my CVO couple of weeks ago (Fullsac Stage I).  Loading the TTS on computer and on bike is about a Level 1.  If you can load Microsoft Office on a computer, you can do this.  Before installing mine I read up on the Fullsac posts...here are the most common issues encountered:

1. The bike's ECM plug is under left side cover (not under seat).  It's gray with a black rubber plug in the end.
2. When you plug in the TTS provided USB cord to your computer, you'll get a screen asking if you want to install the USB program...select yes and go thru the install wizard.
3. Make sure bike's kill switch is in the position specified in instructions.
4. When you plug the USB cord into your computer, you'll not know which port you are plugged into.  You'll have to click on each port displayed to find correct one.

TTS Mastertune will take about 20 min to complete.  Don't forget to save your bikes old map (instructions included on how to to this).

This is a great site for install advise if you run into a problem...several of the members helped me with baffle removal.  BTW, noticeable difference in power with the Fullsac vs. stock.

Just did a Fullsac Stage II, haven't ridden it yet - but it starts :)  Good previous post on the little gotcha's.  Had trouble locating the diag plug, is it just beneath the fuse box as indicated.

btw: the bike won't fire at all until you plug in the spark plug wires  :confused5:

Only have one unexpected piece left over, the "fuel tank, over",  funky piece on the "console" page of the UG parts manual...

Waiting for a spotter to get the bike off the lift.  Been here before, tired and well, had a beer or two (might account for the plug wires???) and think a spotter is a wise idea before I un-lift it.  Sounds good, have the Klock Werks WFB pipes instead of the inserts.  Bit more of a idle lope with the Andrews 54H.

More to say later.  The most difficult think about the TTS software is getting windows to find/install the drivers... not the fault of TTS!

Cheers,

Rusty

I purchased my TTS from Fullsac 1 1/2 years ago.  I recently emailed Steve with a question regarding some exhaust popping I was getting after changing my exhaust.  Not only did he answer my question but he also tweaked my map, which cured the popping.  His service after the sale is first rate.
