The color-matched Tour Pak I ordered back on Aug 28 finally arrived this week, and I thought I'd post a few pictures I took of it today! This might be the first one anyone has ordered... I guess they may have had to figure out how to actually paint one!
I added the smoked side marker lights but haven't hooked them up yet - Ultra harness is on its way. I have also ordered the color-matched spoiler for the lid... hopefully IT won't take 7 weeks like the TP did! The Ultra harness will power all the lights.
I think they did a good job matching the phantom flame graphics to the rest of the bike, and the color matches perfectly... as it SHOULD. The only minor disappointment is that the back side is just plain - a big Hot Citrus wall that just begs for SOMETHING to be done to it. I checked out the CVO Ultra chrome light bar - but it's $469 for the unit, PLUS another $360 for the chrome cover! YIKES! I guess I could get the light unit and have it painted to match - but I don't know if it's made to be seen without the chrome cover... the sides look shorter than the 2010-2011 CVO Ultra light bars. I don't want to put the regular Ultra light bar there - I don't think it would be the right look for a CVO, and I'd have to cut big holes in the TP for the recessed lights. THAT'S not going to happen!
Another option might be to have some custom paint lettering or something done back there... maybe "Harley-Davidson", "CVO Street Glide", or even "North Georgia Hawg" in Antique Gunstock! That'd pretty much guarantee uniqueness!
SO what does everyone think?
