I agree, I am looking at the improvements in the newer frame, larger motor, better brakes.  I plan to have this as my last bike, just think they could have done more with the color combo (my preference).  So now the decision is to spend 10k or 20k, limited vs cvo.  New ultra I could go diamond white and dress her up, but will probably stay with the Cvo.  Talked to them about headers, tuner, etc.  Another 3k. Could manage myself and save half, but like the idea that my warranty would stay intact for sure if they tune it.  I, too, will see what tomorrow brings, plan to meet the wife there and get her thoughts since she is the one pushing me to upgrade.  This is a great site, have learned a lot.

Exactly! Originally I was thinking about selling my nana but decided against that. It's a keeper and have it the way I want it. So now with no trade and MSRP, with taxes I'm over $40K. Then you do the fullsac and TTS with 2" baffles, led headlights, and some other goodies I was looking at about another $4k to invest. If I'm not just sold out on it, I mean everything, is it the right thing to do? Only I or you can answer that.

I prayed on the way there for patience and asked God to direct me in making the right decision. Don't let the "want's" make my decision. On the way home, more I thought about it the more I have peace in my decision. I pray that you too will have peace on your decision! God Bless! :2vrolijk_21:

Mr D, I just didn't see any pop in the yellow. Maybe the sun wasn't out enough or maybe I'm just use to seeing our nana's. On my nana, depending on the direction of sunlight you can see green, red, orange, or yellow hue off the flakes. To me that's what I love about my paint on the 05 SEEG. The metal flake on the 12 is like the front fender on a 07 Jester. Can see a sparkle here and there when you look close. This is just my perspective and realize it may be just right for someone else... :nixweiss:

Our '05's Yellow is brighter, But the pearl top coat or "Flip" as it says on the touch up kit from the Mo Co should be very close, NO metal flake appearance or "Ranger" boat look.
The HD museum had all of the CVO line up Labor Day weekend on display, In the sun the yellow definitely pops, over cast or cloudy days it will be very subtle.

Be content in what the Lord has provided, and enjoy the machines we currently have. After all we've spent alot of $ and time to get them where there at. If you have to absolutely make a move, I feel the LTD maybe a better bang for the buck with negotiating available on that model.

Thanks! :2vrolijk_21: Today it was partly cloudy. There was a short time the sun showed better but not just a direct sun. But even at that, I really had to search to see any flakes at all. Walking back in there was a 2009 SERG in yellow and even inside you could see the metal flake and a goldish hue. I'm sure it was by design that they painted it this way. Personally was hoping for a little more. God willing tomorrow the sun will be out and I would love to eat crow and bring home another yeller to add to the stable! :D :2vrolijk_21:

OK, tried posting the pics from 103tHunDer resized and they were too small. I uploaded zip file to photobucket and will see how these turn out. Hope they do, some of the pics show the graphics really well. Here we go... :2vrolijk_21:

Will you be stung by this "Bumble Bee" or "Yellow Jacket" ??? :nixweiss:

Best of luck in whatever you decide to do JR.  That is a beutiful bike but so is your 05.  I have always loved the SEEG.  I have the orange and black one coming first part of next month and I hope it "speaks" to me as you are hoping this one will do for you.

Dooh! :confused5: When I saved yours and posted on this thread, it was about the size of my avitar so I deleted the post. Wonder if my email automatically reduces the size? Anyway I got to post them...even tho mine is not as big as yours.... :D ;D. Thanks for going through the trouble to help me out buddy, appreciate it!

JR, that one looks good. I saw the Wicked Sapphire/Stardust Silver and I liked it, even tho I'm not a fan of yellow. The "yellow" stripe to me looked more gold/darker yellow to me. I think it had flakes but was smaller in size and maybe not as much of it. It is the first SEUC paint and graphics that I have seen since 09' that I would even remotely consider selling my 09' for. No matter how you slice it, 40g is a lot of money. If you got the 2012, after riding it a while you might decide it is better than the 05 and then you would be able to feel comfortable selling your 05 later on down the road. I know you will make a wise choice.

Easy there JR. For that much money you better feel about it like you do about the nanner,or
think you will feel that way. That is a lot of bike and a lot of money for a bike so be absolutely
positive it is exactly what you want.

It is a great looking bike but there is NO substitute for the great and powerful NANNER!!!
