Bought a pair of these for Long distance riding. No seams and they get rid of the perspiration. Use them on anything  over 300 miles.  Not really padded, but thicker poly fiber. I'd get another pair for $45 if I lost these. Put some Monkey Butt powder on first and you can ride all day.

On long rides, I have always worn wicking boxer briefs from Ex Officio, Teramar, etc.  They do help, don't "bunch up" in places you don't want them to, and help prevent hot spots on your a$$. Plus, they wash out easily and dry overnight.  Cotton baselayers are pretty much useless.  The padded bicycle tights would probably be a good idea, and might save buying a $1000 seat.

Those would give a whole new meaning to the question:  "Honey, do these make my a$$ look big?"...."Uh...no baby, not at all"

You can buy the padded bicycle shorts at about any bike shop, large chain sporting goods shop and probably online. I have a couple pairs with Gel inserts in the area where you would contact a bicycle seat, also they are lined in the crotch area with a soft chamois material. They are very confortable and I also wear them when we ride 300+ in a day. They do not bunch and the chamois absorbs sweat without sticking to you. But for shorter (or longer) days regular old Under Armor long leg underwear is almost as good, costs about $20/each and they are hard to beat, flat seams, wide waste band and do not ride up, or down. I wear them everyday.

Why not padded shorts?  As a former avid cyclist and racer, padded shorts are great.  Less chaffing, more padding for the bumps in the road, fantastic breathability...the list goes on and on.  They'd fit under your jeans/riding pants with no problems whatsoever.  No one would ever know...just like they'd never know if you were wearing thong undies.  The only negative I can think of is it makes it harder to adjust your junk.

The girls at the office say I have "old mans syndrome"---fat belly and skinny ass. Maybe these would plump me up a bit.

So on a ten day ride $450.00  in underwear or are they reversible so you only need 5 pair?  :nervous:

Depending on where you drive, it might be advisable to have a couple of extra pairs.     :nixweiss:

It depends who I'm riding with. On a 10 day ride alone, one maybe two pairs. On a trip with my wife, daily change, but then we only do up to 300 miles and I don't need the riding shorts.
