FWIW I asked what the replacement cost of the bars for the 2011 would be.....$481.00.

OK. I just heard from my HD dealer (Thunder Harley in Sharon PA). Steve (from Thunder) tells me the bars on the 2011 Convertible go from 1 inch at the grips to 1.25 after that. He tells me the 1 inch heat demons should work fine.
I recommend you check with the tech at Heat Demons about that.  My Wild1 Chubby bars are 1" at the grips, but Joe at Heat Demons told me to order Heat Demons for 1-1/4" bars because the controller has a reveal cut into where the bars change size to allow for the larger size.  I  ordered what he told me to order and they fit perfect.  1" Heat Demons would not have fit on my 1-1/4" bars.

Thanks for the heads up SCRM-R. I did email Joe at Heat Demons and he wasn't wuite sure about the bars on the 2011. I'll call the dealer today and try to figure out who makes the bars for the 2011 and then I can get a better idea on which way to go.
