Some good stories here. Reminds me of my apprenticeship in heating and A/C when i was about 20. Plugged a breaker into a 440 volt circuit with my fingers overlapping the plastic part and barely touching the metal part. WHAM! It knocked me back about 15 feet against a concrete block wall where I sat lifeless. Viewing my self from some place above (kinda wierd looking at your own body when you are not in it anymore), there was a calm peaceful feeling that I was finished with that body. Then, WHAM! Right back in and there I was; no heartbeat, no breath. I remember my brain said; "I think with no heartbeat or breath I must be dead". This seemed like hours but was probably just seconds. First a big gasp of breath popped my chest out, then a few breaths and ba-bump (an occasional heartbeat). Sat there a few minutes before I could get up, finally breathing and heart pumping again. Just then the mechanic I had been working with came out and said; "are you OK, you look a little pale." I said; "Sure! I'm Great!, What do we do next?" When you kill yourself and live thru it, you sure don't want to broadcast your almost fatal stupidity.
