Windshiels ???
« on: September 18, 2011, 09:30:55 PM »

Looking to change the stock windshield what is your favorite between C Bailey /Clearview or Windwest looking for a smaller size windscreen and also want to use the HD trim piece  fit and finish is important to me as well as knocking off some of the wind that the stock screen will not do.....

I picked up a used dark smoke 14" '09 screamin' eagle CeeBailey from one of our SERG brothers here and never went searching again.

Honestly, if I were to do it agian, I'd think real hard about the dark smoke.  Great during the day and looks good.  But, it's difficult at night.  As soon as the road passes under the top it's gone from view.  So, if you're doing any night driving think clear or light smoke.

I have several Clearview shields and love the quality and service I get from the company.
Look at the clearview website and it has info on helping you find the right size shield for you. They also have a policy that if you test fit a shield but leave the film in place to prevent any scratches you can return it if it's not the size that works for you.

Skippy,

Early on there were all kinds of discussions about which was the best windshield for the SERG.  Here it work some comments and pictures.  SERG AND CVO: VERY GOOD TO ME! NEXT?

CeeBailey by far.   Wouldn't look elsewhere.  Love the look and the shield is the best I've ridden.

Rode the Clearview with the 5" vent.  Works great.  Just can't stand the look.

I like the CeeBailey for the wind protection and absolutely no buffeting.  Can ride behind the shield, look over the top, not get wet in the rain, and wear a baseball cap.

I've got the 14" Cee Baileys on mine and am getting a little buffeting. I have the 15" on order. Hopefully that does the trick.
