i have a choice between the citrus or the black/grey the citrus comes in in one month the black not till next may.Ihave not seen these bikes if i pass on the citrus i am comitted to the black .       cant make up my mind would like to no what u think .thanks

I had the same option when I was looking at the 09 SERG back in the fall of 2008. They had a silver one coming in a week and an orange in the spring. I hate to admit it now but at the time I wanted the orange. I did go with the silver and in the end they never did get the orange. Guess this is an example of "A SERG in the hand is worth two in the bush". If I were you I'd take whatever comes in first cause you never know what can happen between now and May.

If you are evenly split between the two colors you can always do a best out a three coin flip.

I'm not usually a big fan of what I consider to be "loud" colors, but the Citrus is a really nice looking bike, and the paint really pops on it out in the sunlight.  It would certainly be worth having first refusal rights...you might fall in love.  Not knocking any black bike, 'cause that's always a good color, but the Citrus and the Red are both hot colors, IMO.  Stand out in the crowd...

Between November and May you won't ride much if you are not a Californian 

But a reg 2011 to a reg 2012 is a lot of difference ...

I have seen both in person and you can't loose either way!!! The question is which one do you keep being attracted to more!  That one, my friend will be the winner!!!  Good luck!

I'd take citrus.  Paint pops in the sun.  Orange and black are true HD colors.

From a life safety standpoint, you're way ahead with the bright colors.  They are far more noticeable and HD paints are awesome on the CVOs.  I'm an artist and have painted a few bikes, aside from other things. Safety and quality of the paints are what attracted me to the Cherry Red color of the '07.  All of these bikes, are quite outstanding and hard not to notice when they're around, whether they are Black and Grey or brighter.  I'd be in clined to go for the Citrus.
