Harley Reps @ MV CVO Bikes?
« on: October 02, 2011, 01:17:58 PM »

I was just wondering...are the CVO bikes the HD Reps rode to MV part of the so called CVO production numbers or does HD make a certain amount of "demo" CVO's for lack of a better term, that all reps or maybe dealers would have available to ride.

they said they ride them for part of the year then they are sold to a dealer to be sold as part of the normal production numbers

Was this the first cvoharley rally where reps showed up? Did they enjoy themselves? Did they learn or share anything?

We may never know if this was the first GTG attended but based on the good time they had I suspect it won't be the last.
They talked a lot about many different issues they have and mentioned some of the restraints they have to deal with to bring a bike to the market.
These were great guys that share the same SE passion we have. They are lucky to work at the company that produces the product that fuels that passion.

They even have Screamin Eagles in their demo fleet.
Nancy and I manage the demo rides for the Harley shop here and I was amazed when they rolled out a "Skunk" to be test rode.
The truck left here this afternoon and will be in Indianapolis next weekend.
If your close to Indianapolis stop by and test ride a "Skunk."

I'd be interested in seeing an answer to this question as well.

No, it was such a generalized statement that I didn't think it answered the question.  I was hoping for more detail about what they might have shared that they thought the CVO community might be interested in.

I(and several other members)talked to one of them at length over lunch on FRI. Answered all he could and was very interested in what we had to say. We talked about oil coolers, and other heat related issues. Of course he could not say much about the water cooled deal. He said that the CVO division was the strongest in the HD family right now. They not only came down to enjoy themselves.......they know who butters their bread. Maybe a CVO trike next year! :nixweiss:!

Thes two were the stealth HD CVO Reps...many of us never had a chance to speak to them and some didn't even know they were there......

Would have been nice if they introduced themselves to the group..
