Ouray, CO to Durango, CO. $1,000,000.00 Hwy - Fall Photos
« on: October 14, 2011, 01:26:02 PM »

Monday October 03, 2011.

Rain and some hail showers.

The Aspen were in Fall Colors.

Always something in the distance to look forward to. The rain only became a nuisance because it interfered with the views and pics. The positive views wiped away the negative rain. These photos do no justice to the live beauty of the area.

A little color makes this nice.

Get your "Motor Running Head", out on the highway!

What we've got here is... failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men

Very homey. Wonder if they get snow?

Time to charge my camera battery, which means a lunch break. Didn't stop when I was hungry, had to time it to charge up.

Established last year? I enjoy these nostalgic places.

Without rain everything would be dry. Next day, I would determine this was just a very damp drought.

Again, something to see around every curve.

Descent photo of the road.

Silverton to Durango

When I come back here in my aged years I'll mention that I've been to the area previously and people will ask, "Did you take the train from Durango to Silverton?" and I'll say "F#$% No, I did it on a Harley!"  :coolblue:

Aspen when they're not yellow.

Climbing shot

Silverton view

Can't figure out how I keep bending the trees.

Great place to sit and enjoy a TOGO's Hot Roast Beef sandwich. Ummmhh! Or beef jerky.

Looked in my mirror and ...

WHAT?

A lot of these views could only be seen from a distance.

For the rain my zippers need to go to the other side!

Somebody offered to take this so I had to remove my helmet to get the camera off. It was hailing and I lived through it.

Man and nature.

Bad lighting and my battery charge warning is flashing

Batteries dead just outside Durango.

Thanks for looking.

The end!

Awesome work! Have it planned next year. Just arrived in Daytona getting ready to head to Jock and Jorge's GTG. My first and feel it will be interesting? Have a great weekend.

A million stunning views on the million dollar highway. One of my favorite roads in the whole country. Thanks for sharing.

Nice pics Don.  :2vrolijk_21: How do you activate the shutter on the helmet camera mount?  Assume you have some sort of remote.  ??? spyder

Is this with a GoPro camera?  It has a setting you can take a pic every 2 or 5 seconds.   Haven't tried mine yet, but anxious to.
