Today Friday said all compensator parts were good but back together still making ping noisy, they are thinking now it may be the Automatic compression release staying open all the time because front cyl only has 114 psi they are waiting now for a call from moco to tell them what to do next ???

Well ,  Harley shop but new heads on Saturday Morning, Call me to listen to motor , still the same sound after installing new heads . They still don"t now whats wrong with bike, They are calling in the morning to see what H/D wants to do next.   Its sounds like the noisy was in the valves on the front cylinder, this is really getting next to me.

Well finally found out today Monday Morning that hard coating flaked off Lifter Rollers, got into cam ,oil pump, the rollers had a lot of metal off them and took the cams out.  Going to order all new parts today new cams, lifters, oil pump and etc. I am getting all work done on warrant, the mech said it looked as not getting enough oil or synthetic oil may be the problem, he thanks we need to go to red line  or oil with no synthetic, he said oil is to slick and thin.

That's like saying Sela Ward is too hot.   Just not accurate.

Help out a non-mechanic....if the bike had low compression, wouldn't that really show in performance?  My 110 is noisier than my old 103, but it runs like crazy (with the fullsac stage 1 setup).  I'm not fond of the noisy engine, but is it just the way these engines are?  Also..why would the 110 make so much noise compared to the 103?

BTW, I switched  to Redline V-twin primary fluid and tranny fluid....no change in noise.  My noise sounds like it's coming from the topend and primary.

Seems as if some of these motors are just noisier or quieter than others.  But, also doesn't mean much in the prediction of longevity, dependability, or even performance.  Just a seat of the pants observation/projection (could even be incorrect, but it's my opinion and I'm sticking with it ...for now).  spyder

The motor is just noisier than the 103.  I think the key is to know how noisy your motor is "normally", and if that changes significantly, you may have a problem.  Top end noise is most of what I hear on mine, and it varies a bit with how hot the motor is running.  Wear a full face helmet and you won't hear as much engine noise... ;D

Sorry your having problems.. I've had three 110s with no problems. One made more noise than the others, it seemed to run ok

Anybody check the endplay on the rockers? The choppers shop here in town swears that by shimming up the rockers will quiet a noisy top end.  Just my 2 cents worth.

Good luck

One of the reasons the motor company came out with the TC was becasue the EPA was on their a$$ for a noisy motor (gear drive valve train on the Evos.) 11 years later some of these TC are noisier than the Evos.
