What's the difference between the 40056-07 136T and the 40371-07 136T secondary drive belts?

40056-07 = Touring

40371-07 = 883

Dimensionally the same.  Even priced the same.  The 40371 number is for 883 Sportsters though.  The other is for dressers (Japanese imports).  So very likely significant differences in stitching/belt/materials for belt strength.

And the CVO's have a different part number on their belt from the standard models, as I learned this past spring when one of my friends blew the belt on his CVO Springer (don't ask about the details on that one....lol).

Same price..Same size... If i were a Sportster owner I B replacing my belts with the tougher Touring belt..   :nixweiss:

Agree...  It's curious the MOCO has two such similiar parts in their inventory with no obvious reason for doing so....  :nixweiss:

Another case where an inventory control specialist (clerk) can read spec's but doesn't understand interchange.
