The answer to your question is yes.

You might want to look at this posting I initiated a few weeks ago. http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=66543.0

please think, gentlemen  ::)

We are talking about civilian motorcycles, consumer products. If you are not expressly cautioned otherwise every part on our Harleys can be expected to sustain outdoor conditions - including regular french or english rain  ;D

Speakers have been used in outdoor situations for decades, so as long as Harley is using the proper type of speaker I wouldn't worry about them.  What I would check out carefully is how well the speaker enclosure is sealed, so you don't get water in the saddlebags.

All the speakers on the HD's are marine-grade speakers and should not be harmed whatsoever by water, unless you take a power washer and shoot directly on them...then you might have a problem.

What is the difference between French & English rain?   ;)

French rain is quite refined, with a delicate nose and overtones of oak, citrus, and elderberry, with a lingering finish.

English rain is simply... WET. And cold...

Don't ask me how I know this...

My speakers will never be wet. The Hot Citrus will ensure that sunshine shall surely follow me, wherever I go!  :drink:
