Waiting for the feedback from the tuners at this point.
With the correct compression/airflow, it has the earmarks of a very good cam. :)

I was under the understanding it was a bolt in cam .If you have to adjust the comp then its not a bolt in.Will it still work well without pulling heads?

It will "bolt in" under the OE spring, but it does need the compression, to show it's true worth.

X2--I was looking at the TW-555--but now I just read this about the TW-777 on their site.

I to will be upgrading to the 777 this winter after recommendation's from Bob and he said that the cam would need 10.5 pistons to really work. Original thoughts were to go with the TW 7H with a cometic gasket on a 10 Softtail Conv but he said otherwise. Following his advise on the cams, pistons, heads re-worked and adjustables. Currently at 95 and 113 ft lbs with V and h long shots staggered and super tuner.(pipe not the best i know). Bob says that the combo should produce at-least 112 hp or there is something wrong and 120. also suggests SE tapered which goes against alot of opinions.

Curious myself but will know in the next few months.

There have reported cases of the lock nuts fracturing on S/E pushrods.
We use S&S here. They've been manufacturing adj's since 1958. :)

The 777 is the TW-400, minus .075" lift.

I went with the 555 last year, ported the heads and bumped compression, jackpot head pipe and V&H high out puts and upgraded clutch. 110 hp and 124 ftbl torq. Seat of the pants torq is awesome bike pulls great for all riding. Was thinking of trying the 777 too.

No way.... And here I thought the lack of a source, the lack of a cite, the lack of an anecdote and/or the lack of even a response all added up to independent verification :huepfenlol2: .

Interesting.   When I called, a tech at Wood's didn't mention anything about needing increased compression for a 777 cam.   Question:  If done in layers, although it may not be optimum performance, what is the opinion about replacinng the SE255 cam with the Woods 777 cam and leaving all the compression stock for a future upgrade.   One would think there would be some performance improvement on the 110 motor.  Thoughts?
