But if something breaks, or the winter should have a lot more snow than normal; well.........   You never know.

Oh we know, all right.

Scene:  Joplin, Mo, about November 1.

"What's that funny noise from the motor?"

One minute later:

"Man, it's getting cold early this year, huh?"

Photos on this website about Christmas.

Hey, if you've got family like that....

Well, what if HD comes out with a CVO Road Glide in Cherry Red?  And then what it they get the stripe right this time, or have an otherwise awesome new paint scheme?  And you can always put those diamond cut cylinders and heads on it.

Just something to think about.

This is the ticket. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] This has been on my mind if/when I ever had to tear my engine down. Of course it would have to be in Orange to match my pumpkin. ;D

I'm going to have to save a few more coins. When this happens that means the motor is going to be tore down and it will me time to do the timken bearing, have Zippers do some head work, and new pistons (can you say 113ci kit :)).

Spyder.......Grover was telling us that it's something that they offer (mostly for show bikes) but that they don't advertise it on their web site.  A typical diamond cut only goes down the cylinder so far and I think he said they don't typically do behind the pushrod tubes.......but a show cut goes all the way to the bottom fin and includes the area behind the pushrod tubes.  Grover can expand on that.

I do have a couple very nice photos when I get down to them (I have about 1,000 + photos before editing, so it's gonna take me awhile), I'll post them.

OK, I kinda know what you're talking about now.  I've seen jugs done all different ways on show bikes, so....that's probably it.....your imagination and deep pockets would be the only limiting factors, like a paint job or anything.  But, they've got a 'set price' for head, cylinders, and even the finned headbolt covers..... I think they're only an add'l. $35......so, you'd definitely wanna do that much.  The reason I've GOT to get mine done is the add'l. cooling factor.....my bikes HOT and anything that guarentees it to run cooler get's my vote.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] har!  [smiley=drink.gif] spyder

Had mine done in cobalt blue back in 2004. They are in the glass case in Outer Banks Harley now. Posted pics on what happens when you put too much power to stock crank bearings. When things let loose those pretty parts still break.

Hey Hogasm, did the colbalt powdercoat match pretty close to the SEEG's color?  I was wondering how that would look......you don't happen to have a photo before the explosion, with the engine in the bike do you?   [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  ouch!  :( spyder
