Trahog good luck with the surgery I had my left hip replaced in 2007.

Once you have it done you'll be wondering why you waited so long to have it done... nite and day difference from what you are probably feeling now.

Couple things I'll emphasize....

Pain control - Take the pain meds as needed... actually before you think they will be needed. Don't wait to feel pain then take them... you'll be miserable until they kick in

Rehab - Do this as soon as they will let you and do as much and as often as they let/prescribe

I want to see you doing this eight weeks after surgery :2vrolijk_21:...

x2 to what fired00d said. To speed my recovery in 07, went out and bought a SE Dyna, silver and blue. Just what the Dr. ordered as far as speeding up rehab and recovery. GL

I merged with an existing thread of same topic.

I echo what Gary shared with you.  There will be times during rehab that you'll think they must be over doing it.  You just have to have the blind trust that they know what they're doing and that it's important for you to follow through with the physical therapy. :2vrolijk_21:
