FYI for future reference. HawgWired also offers a very effective and clean mount kit that includes a face surround and mounting bracket to put an aftermarket radio in the stock location.

I was aware of their mount kit but it seemed a little pricey for what it was. I enjoyed making the parts myself and the end result looks as good as any parts I would have bought.
