TC, great pictures and report! Still can't believe we were so close to you and the Diva, and couldn't meet. Our timing was off juust a little. Franklin would have been a perfect meeting spot, too, but we were in bed early Sat night to hit the road early Sunday morn.
Your pics look like a journal of our week there...we should have left some marks for ya... stopped a lot on the Cherohala. Hiawassee Dam is a favorite daydreaming spot, too.
Y'all are gonna have a great time at the CVO MV rally [smiley=jalapeno.gif]
Glad you had a good trip!

Garz, wish we could have met y'all during our trip, but we look forward to meeting at MV.  What a wonderful trip it was, and what a great preview to MV!

V, when we were near Rome we were just focused on getting home.  After being in the wonderful temps in the mountains, Alabama's temps took a lot out of us.  No amount of Gatorade and water seemed to help, but we were having so much fun that it didn't matter.  We welcomed the little rain shower that we drove through about 10 miles from home.  Didn't put on rain gear ... the rain cooled us off.
