Terry, those photos are freakin' awesome!  Thanks for posting and thanks for the legwork you did for me while in the area.  Can't wait to talk to you next week to get the details and put the finishing touches on the plans for October!

Only stopped long enough to get some gas and some much needed Gatorade...I figured you were busy with 4th activities...did go by the road to your work though.  We'll be up that way again soon, or maybe you can cruise down to B'ham?

Big B your right the more rived up you get seems like the longer you have to wait... Right now can't sleep just can't wait myself....Just had one of my ridding buds go through there the 3rd and 4th and he has to call me from there and says guess where I am......
Hopefully October will be here before we know it........

This week's out.  Next Friday is a possibility for an overnighter.  You and Suzanne up to staying overnight at 29 Dreams?  Or Fibbers for dinner Friday night or brunch Saturday morning?

That's a possibility, V.  Any of those scenarios sounds good.

Oh, and that bike was awesome!!!  One of the nicest paint jobs I've seen on anything!!

As well as I can mine...after a certain point, nobody is going to hold one of the damn things up...well, maybe some really big guys, but I talked to a couple of guys this weekend who said the same thing, and they were not small people.  I parked mine at the check in for the cabin on a tilted drive, loaded with gear....when I got on to park after checking in, I couldn't get the damn thing up....had to get off and put my back into it. ;D ;D  It was past the center of gravity, though the stand held fine.  So yes, you can ride something like that.  Embarassing...hell yes....I'll pay more attention to where I park from now on.   ;)

I don't know what all the guy had done to it...it was a new bike, if I'm not mistaken...not used.  They were so crowded, I didn't have time to ask any questions.

Thanks for the photos, TC.  You said you backpacked in Joyce Kilmer?  I did, too--many, many times, although it's been about twenty years. :'(  There are some beautiful places in there.

I took my to-be wife there on her first  ever backpacking and camping trip.  To this day her parents still can't believe I got her to sleep in a tent.

Living down here in SoFla, I don't get many mountain experiences anymore so thanks for the mental journey.  Beautiful.

Yeah, Red...backpacked many times in that area...my first trip carring all my stuff on my back was there...in 1973...damn, I'm gettin' old...and returned many times through the years.  One day, I'm going to total all the miles I've walked in those mountains...I know it's well over 2500. There's something about those mountains, and I've backpacked in the Rockies too....just about my favorite place in the world!!
