Quick detach tourpak, new seat,  saddlebag speakers, new batwing speakers, and amplifier.  Still not sure on what brand speakers and amp?  Decisions, decisions.  Hope everyone has a great New Year.

Hey hacksaw,

I know there are some J&M haters in this thread but I am happy with J&M products.  In fact, I am upgrading all my J&M products in the next few weeks (all on order).  I've heard the new Rokker series equipment and it sounds awesome.  It is a bit pricy but if you can afford it...

Right now nothing.  Leaning toward trading it on a 2013. Especially if the 2013's have something special because its an anniversary year  ;)

History would say it'll just be paint schemes. :nixweiss:  Really wish we knew.

Hey Jerry,

I had J&M speakers in my '07 Ultra...they suck. Waste of money.  When I saw Factory reps at IMS in NYC last year, they said "sorry, try our newer speakers". Plain crap.  Look at Hog Tunes site or Hog Wired and go with a reputable auto speaker and amp.  J&M couldn't make a good speaker if they're life depended on it.

I had the J&M 7.25's in my previous bike. I was pleased with the sound. I'm not impressed with the new H-D BOOM speakers. They are better than stock...but still lack some bottom end. I have not purchased anything yet...so I'm open to suggestions.

My wife is expecting so I'm not sure how the mods will go in 2012. I would like to add detachable tour pak, but well see how that goes. We are in the process of renovating a shed that will become a man cave/ bike shop/ farm shop.

RedDevil has it right--find more time to ride!  I'll spend most of the year in Afghanistan, so I have the resources to mod, but I'd rather trade that in just to be able to ride coast-to-coast.

2011 was only the Hawg wired system so here we go for 2012.

Part II of my stereo upgrade that I started last year. That includes speaker lids for the bags, maybe a sub too. Also a complete headlight and driving light upgrade. I might add a garage door opener too. Saw a cool link on another site where the guy used a trip reset button wired into a concealed garage door opener.

So, how did your upgrades work out?  I didn't see this thread when it first was posted so I took this opportunity to post my upgrades and find out how yours turned out?  Were you able to fulfill your wish list?  Are you satisfied with the changes you made?

I started with a garage door opener wired into the AUX switch on the dash.  Got the Corbin solo seat w/backrest and p pad.  Added the 2012 speaker saddle bag lids.  Next was the Fullsac Stage II x-pipe, 2" cores, 54 cams, Cometec head gaskets and TTS tuner.  Klockwerks Flare windshield.

All of them have added to the bike in some way and have made it more pleasant or more fun to ride.
