Thanks for the compliments.

I had the whip made at Chilhowee with leather colors to match the C&C seat. I went with the Quick Release Clip (horse safety clip).

You folks mean to tell me there is a traditional place to clip it? I knew the guardian bell had a seriously long thread on where to hang them, but is there also a tradition to hang the whip?

Here's one I took a few months ago for my son for his grad photo. The Tequila Sunrise paint really shows a different color with the HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography technique.

The reason most folks put it on the left is, if needed, it can be pulled off with the left hand while maintaining throttle/bike control with right hand.

34"...but you can choose any custom length. I wanted not much lower the the floorboards nor touching the ground...reason is they are awkward to get used to and setting you foot down on them is not a good idea since, in my case, it's attached the front brake lever. If you visualize a comic incident during taker off, you are right. This may be the other (smart and safe) reason to keep the whip on the clutch lever vs the front break lever.

Thanks for the info... Have you noticed or is there any concern about them flapping back onto painted parts at highway speeds?

I've got Wild 1 Chubby WO575 which are wider than stock. but never-the-less, they do not hit any parts since they are on the widest most outboard point of a bike. It may "slap" your arm once in a while, but nothing which is ever a problem or that you'll even notice. As I said, the only time you may notice them is when you pull your feet on the the floorboards from a stop, you may find your leg will "pull" them in - but that doesn't happen to me anymore. They almost go horizontal immediately at fairly low speeds since they aren't weighted - and at 35+mph they are horizontal.
