the plug you're referring to in the back of the unit is where you need to plug the red and white wire bundle that came with the receiver.  Run that pair of wires to either the wall switch for your garage door opener or connect to the terminals on the garage door opener itself.  the short black wire you're talking about is the antenna.  you want to that to be as straight as possible as that picks up the signal from the transmitter on the bike.

If you still have the seller's email address, send him an email and see if he has the wire and just forgot to send it to you.  According to the parts list breakdown for the receiver, it's part number 15, but not sold separately.  You might be able to take the receiver to an electronic store, like Radio Shack and see if you can get a two-wire plug like the one that is required in the back and then just buy about 20-25 Feet of 22 guage wire for it, and make your own.

He did not say it had a cable bundle. Guess when I won it for $37.00 may not have been a good deal after all. Trouble is I'm not to good with that make my own stuff.

my 2012 didn't come with the garage opener reciever... where do i look to see if the transmitter is installed?

I believe the garage door openers are only on the U.S./Canadian bikes.

I had the transmitter installed on mine Stu and love it.  I figured I already had the receiver because of the SEURG, so why not.   Beats carrying around the blasted remote!!

I should order one of those too.   Would you have the part #?  Be a big help if you did.  Or I can get out my 04 seeg parts catalogue and look there.    Think it would work on the new bike?  I don't see why it wouldn't.

You have to buy the garage door opener....it only comes on the Ultras.
