I've been going to bike week on & off since Gene Romero, the crazy Kawasaki Canadian who's name escapes me at the moment. I do remember the second of the last race I saw was between Yvon DuHamel (I knew it would come to me and Mark Brelsford aboard a Harley. Don't remember who won but the crowd would go nuts every lap as the Harley re-passed as he accelerated up the steep hill. The last race I attended was all two strokes and sounded like a swarm of bees taking off. My father in law was a Harley man so we left. Some rough crowds and activities in those days. Not sure about the strip bars but why is it that the ones we would rather not get caught looking at are the ones striving for attention by wearing way to little. It's starting to look like a Wallmart. I'm sure the young good looking girls take a look at me and probably think what a waste, nice bike driven by an old buck.
