You've gotta know that Chip earned some BIG brownie points with this one!!!  ;D ;D

I've ridden Chip's EG a couple of times but it's gonna feel so good to ride my own!!  Hope to take it on a day trip to the mountains this weekend but absolutely can't wait to take it on the dragon!!!

When the 03's were just speculation I had decided I wanted a silver colored Harley.
When the color names were announced me and my dealer were thinking "gun metal pearl" is for me.
My dealer called from the 03 show and said "Chip, I have cancelled the gun metal pearl and ordered you the silver and black Classic"
He was right, gun metal pearl was blue, not for me.
That was the start down the road of silver and black obsession.
I waited a long time for that 03 I bought for Nancy.
That silver and black Harley truck is on the radar screen but I'm not looking for someone to do me a favor by selling me one for a couple grand over a regular Harley truck. When the right one shows up it will be part of the family!
It's just a matter of time!

We rode about 300 miles this weekend and all I can say is yeeeehaaaaaaw!!

I have to admit that I was a little afraid.  :nervous:  I, like a lot of folks on this site, started riding dirt bikes in my early teens.  The biggest bike I had ever ridden was a Fat Boy.  I had never ridden such a "big" bike.  Oh, I had ridden Chip's EGs in the past but only on interstate highway ... no intercity driving ... no stop-starts ... no curves!

Our ride initially started as just a short ride so I could "get the feel" of the bike.   I was leading and we were about 5 miles from home when I took a left into a parking lot of a local grocery store.  I think Chip thought I was ready to go home :(  but, I wanted to do some tight turning.  It was early enough that there were only a few cars in the lot so I did some U-turns ... left then right ... staying in the lane ... and my biggest fear was diminished ... I could tight turn the damn thing!!  Yeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaw I was ready to go!!!   :2vrolijk_21:

In between hearing my favorite songs  :drummer: on the local country stations of my radio I remembered back to when Chip helped me pick out my Sportster (just in case you don't know, that's how I met Chip) and then my thoughts quickly went to my Low Rider still sitting in the garage.  I thought how I love the fastness of that Dyna but was enjoying the relaxed cruising on the EG.  I also thought of how much I "bucked" having a windshield on the Dyna ... how Chip had to talk me into it ... how I insisted on the quick release because I knew I wouldn't use it much ... and how I've never taken it off!  And, how nice it is having a true windshield and dash with the fairing!

We drove country roads with some twisties and on the way home did some city driving.  All I could say was Yeeeeehaaaaaw!!  I love this Electra Glide!!  I always thought I was a Dyna kinda girl but now I'm not so sure.  :uhoh:  But I do know that I can hardly wait to get the EG on the dragon!!!
