Thanks guys... I cant begin to tell you that the pictures do not do this color justice....

Maple... Looks more like a cross between merlot, dark rootbeer and black....





More pics later this week... it developed a small oil dribble from between the oil cooler adapter and engine case so we dropped it back off at the dealer.

I hurt my back and tailbone in a fall last Monday....:soapbox:

So right now about 20 miles at a time is all I can bear.... 30 if I feel fresh and ready to ride.

Difficult but like I'm not going to ride this?  :oops:

Took the passenger pillion off today and rode it as a solo machine.

Gets an awful lot of attention.... moreso than the silver one did.

You sure could run a few bicyclists off the Haleakala Highway with that bad boy.  Go easy on the tourists.  :-P

Last time I rode up there there were no bicyclists... dont know how them skinny guys can ride up that mountain and not freeze thier jewels off.

That ride is about the coldest I have ever seen my air temp gauge... :) and I still had my left hand next to the motor.....

I'll never make that ride in a sleeveless shirt and no vest again!

on another note: Anyone notice the fine print on the back of the iPod?

They don't ride up.  They load the bikes and people in a bus and drop 'em off at the top to ride DOWN.  Yep, it gets a bit nippy at the top.  Not my thing... I need internal combustion.  Gawd, I miss Maui.

I know its downhill only...  but we didnt see any on our ride up the mountain....

I brought home the same bike last Wednesday. I ordered in December and it wasn't suppose to be here until April.
Got the bike home and it snowed the next day. There she sits in her heated garge waiting for me to ad the parts on the list of extra. Traded in my 06 Black Cherry Pearl SG which I thought was beautiful until I saw the maple and black combo and had to have it. Having some issues getting my local NH dealer to give me 20% off on part after I drop 31k at their dealership, guess they don't make enough money on the bike.
