Well BamaHarleyDude,
You know how to stir things up.

The question seems simple at first but is really very complicated.
Each owner is going to defend his purchase because more than likely they had to wait a long time and pay big bucks to get the bike of their dreams. (Or at least their dreams for now)
How would you define popularity? By the numbers produced, sold or dealer percent markup, or the resale price of a used one?
Remember that the early CVO bikes were produced in smaller numbers and that was controlled by the MOCO not public demand so total numbers made don't reflect true demand at the time.
Then you have to consider resale price in general but if you look at an individual bike and someone bought it new do you base the price on MSRP or maybe the 6-7,000 inflated price by some dealers. So if a Road King sold for $28,000 MSRP new but the owner paid $35,000 then tried to sell it for $28,000 several years later did he get what he paid for it or did he loose $7,000?
I think all of the CVO bikes and many well modified/ standard bikes are great too if the owner is happy with it and it meets their needs. Some models are great around town while others make better long haul bikes. The problem is they all have strengths and weaknesses since Harley has yet to have a build your own type system we just have to learn the features and learn to live with them or modify them.
I love my 2006 Haze Ultra but I agree with Mrs.WeCVO. I think the 2005 SEEG Cherry has the classiest and most professional looking paint scheme. If you own one it will not be tiring to look at years down the road and won't look like a fad paint job that will be dated.
I also agree with HDBIGMAN in that the RoadGilde is underappreciated.I think due to low production numbers and only having a 95" motor with an early fuel injection system that has since been improved. As far as handling and giving a lighter steering feel a frame mounted faring can't be beat.Yet you can have all the gauges and electronics of the batwing setup.I don't know why their lowers don't have the open and closing vents like the Electra Glide though?
If Harley ever had a "Build your own" program I would love a Road Glide with the 2005 Cherry paint job and a 120" or bigger motor, removeable Ultra tour pak, vented lowers etc.
Just my .02 and opinions though and we all know what they say about opinions. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]
