Kick Stand Spring
« on: February 04, 2012, 07:57:44 PM »

Since the weather isn't nice enough to have the Ultra on the road its time to fix the little things that irritate me when I am riding.

After dropping the front and back of the bike with mono tubes and 940's, my bike was very unstable when it was resting on the kickstand. So I bought an Arlen Ness kickstand made for bikes that have been lowered. I installed the new kickstand. After installation I am noticing that the spring isn't tight enough to retract the kickstand like it did when it was stock.

Seems that I need a new spring, can someone give me some direction on where to get a shorter spring or a part number?

Thanks Supershooter

Just get a new spring, they aren't any shorter.  I did this on a friends, the NEss kick stand & a new spring, all was fine.
