LovemyCVOgirl, I know all about the need to see and sit on the bike through the winter months. Although I do resist the urge to start it for the reasons stated above. Winters up here in NH are pretty long too. And by this point in the winter, "Cabin Fever" is generally rampid up here.
This winter however is exceptionally difficult for me. First we have hardly received any snow this year and the temps are staying warmer then usual. Secondly, like you, I received my 2012 SG at the very end of the riding season, and only managed to get 1,000 miles on it before having to put it away for the year, after its first service. And lastly, I do not have my baby sitting in my garage where I can visit it as needed through the long winter months.

This is due to wanting to get some work done on it over the winter; exhaust, tuner, cams, and time on the dyno. This in conjunction with my dealer offering free storage if I did all the work there over the winter is the reason for the later. But I have to confess, I have made the hour long journey a couple times since putting her away, to visit.
