This is what i have done I bought some pulleys and a electric winch from Harbor Freight mounted it all on the ceiling and now with a push of a button the trailer is on the ceiling took a little figuring but it is well worth it because now my wife cant stack her stuff on my American Legend trailer and the only problem I have is the dust.

racor overhead garage storage. bought mine thru sears, but there are some on e-bay. holds my bushtec roadstar well. up & down with 1/2 electric drill. comes with everything you need. for 8ft. ceiling, but added more cable and works fine on my 10ft ceiling. 250lbs. wait limit. 4by4 platform

The Racor unit looks pretty good. Prices all over the board - at Racor $199; Sears $159; Costco $139; Amazon $127 and I found another site wanting $209!

How do you guys secure your trailers so the don't move/roll while lifting and lowering?

My trailer is held in place by the safety chains hooked to one of the cables then under the aft I have a 2 X 4 with eye bolts affixed to the other two cables which then hook all together at the electric wench and push the button and away it goes I have had this set up for a few years now and a buddy has the platform and it works ok but I am lazy and like to just push the button I keep all my tents and stuff I need to go with in the trailer and store it all there so I drop it down unhook and raise the cables and away I go a total of about a minuite

The safety chains that came on the trailer that you hook to the back of your bike so if the trailer would ever come off the ball you do not kill all your buddies behind you I would rather go down than kill some one With a trailer coming at you out of no where
