Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone out there has done this. I recently bought a FLHXSE3 (Street Glide) with Road Tech Zumo 660 and Fairing Mount Kit (92238-09) all installed by the dealer. I asked for it to be connected through the back to the Advanced Audio System (rather than using the AUX connection), but it was not done, and the dealer doesn't seem to know what is required. After further research the only thing I can find is the Road Tech™ Navigation Interface Module (76000024A), but apparently this doesn't work with the FLHXSE3. Comment on the HD site is:

"Fits '06-later Touring models (except FLHXSE3) equipped with the Advanced Audio system and a Road Tech™ zumo 660 GPS Navigator P/N 92115-09 or Road Tech™ zumo 665 GPS Navigator P/N 76000014."

Has anyone done this, or any know how to do it, what is needed?

Regards, John

You can find the directions to add an Auxiliary Input to the back of the radio here:

You can add the NIM as well although a bit of wiring is involved.
It's not TOO hard ... just a bit tedious.

Several on the board have done it (including me) on the SESG2/SESG3.
A personal decision if the hassle of the wiring required for the NIM install is worth the over-ride function of the NIM turn-by-turn prompts (from various radio sources like iPod, CD, XM, etc). For me  - it was absolutely worth it.

I just had the fairing mount and Zumo added to my bike.  The parts guy didn't read the warning about the wire harness that would normally doing this, wasn't compatible with the new advanced audio systems.  There use to be an additional electronics box on top of the prior year models head unit that allowed the interface seemlessly.

The only HD solution that they presented me was to have a modification done to the speaker system - too costly, and if I change anything there it will be after market.  I now have a wire harness under the hood that is useless, and no integration.  Parts guy f'd up, and at least they admitted it.  The dealership didn't charge me labor for my gps install, and refunded the wire harness.  I will give it back to them when I add the new boom antenna.

The solution posted above looks like a good idea, going to kick that one around.

Some of the info is repetitive, but all of it is great info on how to do this mod to the SG
