Hey guys, putting my motor back togeather and was checking rocker cover clearance and I think I need to modify them. Any pics out there were I need to grind them? I looked but couldnt find anything.

Where are the contact marks on your covers?  That's where you grind...

I dont have any wear marks. I want to take care of it before it wears on it.

 Go to the great you tube and cut and paste this.            " S&S 4 Step Performance Program - Step 4 - Available from J&P Cycles "           Then fast forward about 16 min and watch that awesome engine builder do exactly what you are talking about. It is as clear as a bell.  If you watch all of this guy's vids you can rebuild your own top end I am sure of that. he makes it look to easy. Cheers.

I dont have any wear marks. I want to take care of it before it wears on it.

If there was no interference before, and there is no interference now, why do you think it may start hitting?     Clearance is clearance...

But if you think it might for some reason??a dremel will work just fine...  If it's in the area of a rib, just grind away...  There's plenty of thickness.

Mark the area and use a dremel or any rotary cutting tool.  On the lid, the ribs are about the only possible contact area.  Use clay if necessary to identify the area.

Usually in the webbing area if roller rockers are being used.
No real set dimension, as long as you clear.
