I have nothing against diesels, i've owned three in my time, ford 3/4 ton and two Dodges.. The Dodges both gave me 24-25 unloaded and 16-18 loaded. The Ford was 18 unloaded and 12-14 loaded. When Diesel fuel started to sky rocket four years ago i went back to gas.. One thing i find; most diesel owners never tell ya what they spend in maintenance. And this is something most new buyers dont consider in their equation between gas and diesel. I remember the days i spent $150-200 for basic oil change/filter maintenance and $600 for a water pump,, yes a water pump.. and countless other dollars for map sensors, fuel rail tunes etc,, etc.. If i were to buy another, i defiantly would take the longest warranty option i could get.. I dont tow anymore so really have no need for a diesel but if i ever did start too, my eyes would be on the Duramax
