DLD - I have the same set up Kiwihog mentioned.  2" Fullsac cores with a Vance and Hines Power Dual head pipe.  I left the packing in.  At first I thought they were a bit on the quiet side but after a few hundred miles they started to open up.  Now after 12,000 miles they sound great to me.  I hear my motor but it's not annoying on long rides.  Perfect for me and the power and torque are what I was after...

what did you like about those that fulsac didnt offer?

Just thought the FM looked like a quality pipe and liked the fact it was stainless, but it is hard to tell looking a pictures, sure hear a lot of good about FS also.

Installing Fuelmoto headers and 2" Fullsac cores this week. Excited to hear and feel the difference

I just finished the install on the Fullsac Stage 1 on Thurs and had the bike out for a bit Friday. Fullsac was 6 weeks  out on the xpipe "B" but they had the "C" pipe that they produced for the 120 engine and it is working well for them. Steve already created a map for it also, so I went with the C version. Very well built, welds are clean and it was spotless though flat black doesn't show too much. I left the packing in per recommendation from Steve and the install was straightforward and fairly easy for a shade tree mech like myself. What took the longest was the grinding of the welds in the cans as to avoid damage to the cans. I am with others in regards to loud pipes, been there and done that but at the same time it is an HD, so it should have some grunt to it. If I wanted silent, I would have bought a Wing! The 2" definitely bark when you get on it and at cruising speed your ears are not ringing. Though from reading this site, I was thinking the sound would be deeper but it isn't. Maybe when I get more miles in it will get there but right now, it isn't. Dealing with Fullsac as so easy and all emails and questions were probley answered. Alice was a delight to work with!

i just installed the fuelmoto head pipe ( i got the coated one) and fullsac 2" baffles w/o the packing. i like the sound not to loud but louder that stock and a bark when you get off in it. i initally left the packing in but it was to muffeled for me, i wanted some sound but not as loud as the rineharts i had on my 2011 ultra. i pull a trailer when i travel and the rhine harts were way to loud bouncing off of the trailer. i am happy with it now. i am just curious as to why the guy at fulsack said to leave the packing in??

In my instance, I left the packing in mainly because I like the more mellow tone, and I don't have to crank up the radio, especially after 8-10 hrs on the road, pulling my trailer.
At cruise, it has a nice tone, and doesn't piss off the other motorists.

I have been running the fullsac x-pipe, TTS tuner, and 4-inch Rineharts for past 6 months on my 2012 CVO Road Glide.  I've been happy with the sound and performance.  Decided to try the stock cans with the 2.0 fullsac baffle, primarily for cosmetic reasons.  My Rineharts are black, and with black heat shields, the motor (also black) was kind of washed out on the "skunk".  

After much dremeling, W-40, and hammering, I finally got the stock baffles out (don't let me discourage you...) and the fullsac baffles in.  I took all the packing material out.  Upon starting it up, initial impression was a little more quiet than the Rineharts.   More of a po-ta-to-ee sound at idle than the Rineharts.  

Upon test ride, determined fullsac's have a nice bark on throttle, and more quiet off throttle.  Though I did not think it possible for the bike to run better, the throttle response is noticeable better with the fullsacs.  Fullsac recommends same map for their baffle as the Rineharts.

Cold here in Denver today or would still be riding.

I bought the 2" cores within weeks of ownership of my 2010. Found them easy to install with care using dremel. Love the low rumble. I called Fullsac yesterday left a message and got a prompt call back. I am purchasing the Fullsac X pipe and TTS Mastertune and map. Unfortunately it will take 6 weeks for the X pipe. Ugh! But all I've read it will be worth the wait. Last year during several rides the bike ran very hot. Can't wait to get the stuff and install. To finish the conversion I ordered the Screaming Eagle Air cleaner that now comes standard. I like the look.

Did the replacement this weekend. Actually did the grinding with the mufflers still on the bike. Removed the mufflers and drove the core out. No problem. Sounds and runs great.
Previous three bikes I had Rineharts. I am pleased with the current set-up. Waiting on the X-pipe to complete it and a tune. Great service also; ordered them on Monday and had them on Thursday.

do all fullsac cores look like this?  Where you can see the pipe inside the muffler?  I just ordered mine, but not so sure I like that look.  Can they be cut shorter?

mine are long like yours but i don't think that they are as long as the ones in the pic. i thought it looked funny at first and thought about cutting them but haven't yet and have kinda got use to it. i am curious to see what is said about cutting them...

You can cut the tail piece off to suit your tastes, but, be aware that the sound will also change.
