Here are some things some CVO owners mights be interested in .
Had my 2008 CVO with no problems , ran like a dream but changed the exhaust and air filter ( original Screamin Eagle race ) .
The dealer OIT in Breda from the netherlands insisted i have the SE pro tuner and a Dyno run and probably a good idea in general .
So bought the SE tuner and because OIT does not have a Dyno setup they send me to Dynostar in Roosendaal also in the Netherlands .
So far so good but then it went wrong , the did run after run after run because of software issues . The run was 20 % throttle till 1500 rpm , then 30 % till 250 rpm and ...................
The exact percentage end rpm numbers i don't know but he never quit at the rpm's , always ran it till the limiter cut off at 6500 rpm . He set it at 6500 rpm cause factory is set at 5500 rpm i believe .
After the run i left Dynostar and the bike made a "ticking" noise , had the sound as if something came loose during the run .
I'm gonna save you the process of finding out what was wrong but it was the crankshaft , replaced it with a Revolution performance one that i have send over here .
Some lessons to be learned :
Dyno runs should only be performed by Harley mechanic's , head mechanic from American Lifestyle in Antwerp reassembled my engine and was clear about that . They do have the equipment and the knowledge to make safe runs .
OIT and Dynostar never admitted to their mistake ( the mechanic's did but their attorney afterwards denied that ) , better still they want money from me because of the "help" the gave me .
OIT has a great team of mechanic's but their boss is gonna rip you off any chance he gets so would not advice them to anyone .
