pipe fitment question
« on: March 12, 2012, 10:20:06 AM »

I am in the middle of a complete rebuild on my 2000 SERG. 106 stroker, head work, etc. Having my pipe drilled and fitted for o2 sensors now, (V Hines 2 into 1 setup), to facilitate conversion from that fine running Marelli setup to a S&S 52mm with S&S VFI computer. Down the road if I decide to change pipes can I just buy pipes made for the newer bikes with stock o2 sensors so I do not have to install the bungs again? Or will they not bolt onto my worked over stock 2000 heads?

Pipe fitment is universal for many years.  You can buy pipes for a newer model with the bungs already installed.  Won't be a problem.

! converted mine to closed loop & 2008 FL pipes work for what you want.  Also, many aftermarket pipes are coming with bungs now.
