easy pull clutch
« on: March 13, 2012, 08:05:15 AM »

Good morning! My wife just bought an FXR4 yesterday. After a long ride home, she loves the bike, but has one complaint - the clutch is realy hard on her wrist. I checked it out and found it to be harder to pull than my 04 Softail. It seems all of the ez pull kits are not for the fxr's. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I have one on my Sporty that should fit any cable clutch on an HD I'd have thought. Or is there something strange about the FXR?

I haven't seen that kit - thanks. All of the kits I saw were installed internally at the other end of the cable.

There's no difference internally with the FXR clutch.  Often FXRs aren't mentioned in aftermarket product fitments because they're not that many of them and that bike family is simply forgotten.

I've installed two of the "easy pull clutch" devices on a 2002 883 and a 2004 1200 Custom Sportsters and they work great. Very easy to install and took less than an hour on each install and cost less than $40.00. Got them from my local Harley dealer. Good luck
