I recall a ride out 50, and picked up 92. What an awesome ride.  Somewhere north on 92 we had to stop for a while when a herd of cattle were being run by a few cowboys.  Further up, we stopped at Joe Cockers place (mansion)  and his restaurant run by his sister and ate pretty good. Music all over the walls. Took it into Grand Junction if I remember correctly.

one day we will do that again. Sometimes ya just got to get out of the flats.

Yes, Joe Cocker and his wife had a restaurant in Crawford, a town one comes across shortly after riding the great Black Canyon of the Gunnison / 92.  Then from Crawford one can head towards and ride the Grand Mesa.  Sounds like you had a fine trip.  FWIW, the restaurant in Crawford was shut down 4-5 years ago and it has left more than a few disappointed.  It was a nice destination for those on two wheels.  It had a motorcycle theme and his wife would ride.

Yes!  That does bring back the memories.  They used to keep some wild lookin cows next to the restaurant with horns of 8' spread or so. Or should I say that's what I thought I was lookin at anyway, hehe. I did a ride from Florida all over the place, including the above, and ended up in back in Florida via San Diego. The trip took me about 2 months back in the day when I was in my Nomad Role.

Thanks for the pics. Some great shots there but I hope the wind is not blowing too hard when you cross that bridge. My wife would never cross it, at least with her eyes open. :drink:
