Fullsac baffles are great performers and excellent value, but if you really want "thunder", I don't think you'll find it with them.

I had what I was told were 2.25" Fullsac baffles (said the previous owner). They sounded good, kind of a classy rumble, but were lacking an authoritative growl, to my ears at least.

I switched to Rinehart 4" with I assume the standard 2.25" baffles, and they sound mean and deep at idle and when you crack it open- as in setting off car alarms deep  :vrolijk_10:. I wouldn't want them any louder.

I'm not sure if in reality I had 2" cores instead of 2.25", because then the difference in sound would make more sense, but that's my 2 cents.

I agree...I had the 2.25"Fullsacs and wanted more so I went with the 4" Rineharts and couldn't be happier.

I wish there was a place that had many sets of slipons that we could try for a fee and see what we liked best and made our minds up from there.
That would be way too easy :)

Absolutely not. CFR's do not and cannot perform correctly on a non high performance bike. Check all the other threads about this muffler. Yes you will find some positive remarks and the occasional person who says that they run great but the negative runs 20-1 against.  I have a set of the KC International CFR copies and will sell them for 100.00 plus ship. If you want to try these before you drop 600.00 on the CFR's let me know and Ill send them to you.  Less then 100 miles on them.  By the way, I also loved the sound and didn't believe all the negative,  surely I could find someone to tune them right. HA   NOT...

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in..again
2012 CVO FLHTCUSE7 bone stock with CFR pull hard from jump street and well into the three digit range, need I speak of the sound...course not we all know if you don't have them you probably want them, thats always the first thing non-CFR riders want to know who Makes those pipes? Ok now I spoke my peace and you probably wondering what the heck no numbers or dyno sheet to speak of or show, this GUY got to be full of it!  ok here it goes. Since my last original post of "CFR Riders" I have watched, listened and read numerous post but only a few folks have caught on to Mr. OEM and their respective R&D programs and why the Hell they really exist. Example recent CVO 110 bikes come with Plugged Slip-ons, restrictor in the Header pipe plus a nice little black connector attached to the housing directly located behind the S/E Air cleaner filter assembly, mess with any of these things and something is going to change and its game on...
OK quick re-cap of things just remember all changes are at the slip-on area only original header and cat were and still are intact.
1.) De-plugged - ran ok; sounded deeper but only from idle to 3500 or so, beyond that RPM the sound diminished to a small rumble slightly above stock. After 2 weeks started sounding hollow so I took them off.
2.) Next I purchased Pyxxxx slip-ons rode them for two weeks; results were awesome sound during idle up to cruising speed damn close to CFR note, pulls hard but lost some noticeable power approaching triple digit  still a great pipe. Here's worth mentioning I did not go with 4" had to stay close to the original, thats something to think about may lose more with larger exhaust area, then again CFR are much larger at exhaust end thinking  it may be the over all design element between these two pipes. took them off. Hope this helps a little for anyone looking at CFR's and just to clear things up the main reason I tried all his after I had the CFR installed was due to the fact that we have a few riders with CVO in the area and if one of us have a product that can be installed on a buddys bike we try to do a so  kinda like a try before you buy helps keep all our cost down and usually includes beer and bragging rites on who bought the right goods.
again hope this helps in a non technical way...lol

CFR's?  Why take the chance.  There a lot of great sounding slip ons out there with good performance reputations.

I cruise 99% of the time at 2500-3000 RPM, I have the "little" Fullsac cores (my choice, not looking for 5 more HP)
The sound is nice and mellow for me, no issues with music and BSR likes them as well.
Club member just installed CFR on his 2012 and I won't ride behind him, too loud for me.
Just my only experience with the two.

my bike is bone stock and i'm interested in more thunder and more HP i was thinking of cfr muffs with the fullsac stage 1 kit. wadya think ?:drink:

Some key words here... "Bone stock", "more thunder", "more HP"
"Wadya think".

Exhaust is solely subjective to its rider,,, wadya think?.... Here goes
If you're doing a stage 1 upgrade only, no cam/ headwork
Best bang for the buck MO is Fullsac "Sport Pipe" CVO cores with sleeves.
Which cores? Balance of both thunder & HP 2" work the best on a bone stock 110
If you want more bark. Go with the 2.25 SD core, install unwrapped

If you plan on doing engine mods, cam/ headwork Steve's new DX headpipe with 2.25 Cores & sleeves is a great combo

You can & I have in the past spent a lot of bucks on exhausts'
IMO the most cost effective with results by far is Steve from Fullsacs'
choices, he's a rider, tried & trued over & over ' continually seeking for improvement
What more could you ask for  :2vrolijk_21:

Best of luck with your choice

Ride safe & enjoy
