How low of RPM?  It's not lugging, is it?   :nixweiss:

Lugging due to low RPM can cause compensator noise...

Mine make a noise when the clutch is out and in neutral. Not 100% of the time but nearly. Taking it to the dealer for service on Monday and that's on the list to get checked out. I let you know if they find out anything besides " they all do that".

the wobble is due to a loose neck bearing. under warranty for the first 1000 miles after that on you.supposed to be looked at on your first service. HD hope you wait so you can pay for it.
my noise was do to a bearing in the primary that went out.my dealer said he has changed about 1000 of them he said usually between 18K to 20K miles

X2 on the Lugging.  A LOT of HD riders lug their motors.  IMO, anything under 1800rpm on a totally flat road is lugging and can cause some serious problems.  2000rpm is even better.

The wobble is probably the steering head...that would be my first thing to check.

Disturbedcustom, my 09 used to make a noise in the primary when it was new, especially when cold, at idle, and sometimes I would notice it when I was in neutral stopped say for gas or something. I think it was the auto primary chain tightner. It wasn't a loud noise but it did sound like the chain was a little loose. Everything else worked okay so I decided to let it go for a bit and the noise went away. So far so good. I hope you get your issues taken care of. CAHDBIKER

2200 rpm is about my lower limit.  Anything under that calls for a downshift.   :2vrolijk_21:

I have not seen anything to say whether this is your first Harley or not.  Regardless, the 110" motor makes more noise than either the 96" or the 103", and yes, it comes from the top end of the motor.  But noise is a relative term, so it's hard to know whether it's "normal" or not.  I'm not sayin' you don't have an issue, but if you could get around another 110, you could compare notes.  Then at least you'd have a baseline to be able to tell if the noise gets better/worse over time.  The motor does "loosen up" some over the first several hundred miles.

The neck bearing issue is not all that uncommon on a new bike these days.  It sucks that they can't seem to do it right at the factory on a consistant basis, but it is what it is.  At least you got it fixed...hopefully.

I am not condoning HD's attitude towards their consumers, but as long as people keep buying them, regardless of quality control, they have no real incentive to change.
